Sexual Health Equity Project is a nonprofit organization with the mission to improve physician education in female genital anatomy to prevent medical harm and to ensure better care for women with sexual dysfunction.
Our Story
We are a of team patient advocates and medical professionals who have each struggled to change a healthcare system that neglects women's rights to safe care and sexual health that includes a right to pleasure. We advocate for updates to medical education and training standards that reflect modern values of gender equality and female dignity.
Stronger together, we formed this organization for the purpose of developing improved medical resources collaborating for widespread changes to medical curricula. We are committed to scientific accuracy and patient wellbeing above all else, prioritizing relentless pursuit of truth, unfettered by taboo, and compassion for women harmed, whose dignity must be honored with changes to standards of care.
